Acne is one of the most aggravating problems one can have, and it never seems to want to go away. All of the popular methods seem to only work temporarily, but you want to cure the problem for good. Luckily, there are a few things you can do to help cure acne for good!
First, make sure you're drinking plenty of water. Water helps with circulation, and most people don't drink enough water. Try to drink 8 eight-ounce glasses every day.
Wash your face regularly. Don't feel embarrassed to duck into a restroom to wash your face off if it feels greasy. The longer oil stays on the surface of your skin, the more acne problems you have.
When you wash your face, don't rub vigorously or otherwise be rough. This can aggravate acne. Wash gently. If you end up washing multiple times daily, use water by itself as much as possible.
Acne is also affected by your diet. More healthy foods contribute to better health in general. The skin is one of the ways that the body gets rid of toxins. Less crud in your body means less crud coming out through your pores (yuck!) which means less acne and clearer skin!
Smoking and drinking both cause acne. Both of them contribute to poor general health, which is reflected in your skin. Alcohol consumption has the most noticeable effect though, as it depletes your body's supply of water which, as mentioned above, is necessary for good circulation and clear, acne-free skin.
